Isaac Stearns II was the son of Isaac Stearns and Mary Barker, who were said to travel to Massachusetts Bay Colony on the Arbella with the Winthrop fleet. Isaac Sr was a tailor and settled near Mt Auburn in Watertown. Isaac II was admitted freeman in 1665.
On 24 June 1660 he married Sarah Beers, daughter of Capt. Richard and Elizabeth Beers. They lived in Cambridge Farms (Lexington) until his death on 29 August 1676. A writing in the files of the court dated 19 June 1677 says he left 3 sons and 3 daughters. His widow, Sarah, then married Sgt. Thomas Wheeler of Concord, on 23 July 1677.
