Mr. Aquiar, 1017 S. Second Ave., died Sunday in a Phoenix hospital. He was a retired carpenter who lived in Phoenix the past 82 years.
Surviving are his wife, Amparo; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Coronado of Sacramento, Calif., three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rosary was said yesterday in Mortensen-Kings Funeral Center. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery."
- Arizona Republic (Phoenix, AZ), March 9, 1966, p. 20.

In his WWI draft registration dated Feb. 12, 1918, Eduardo signed his name "Eduardo M. Aguiar" (although it is indexed as Edwardo) and gave his date of birth as Jan. 25, 1877. He was living with wife Clara Aguiar in Los Angeles at the time.

"COURT DEFINES FATHER'S DUTY
'Every child needs his father, not only to provide him with food and clothing, but to give him his love and advice,' said Judge Stanford yesterday to Eduardo Aguiar, who appeared before him on a charge of failure to provide for his three minor children.
Aguiar was accompanied by his wife whom he deserted some time ago and with whom he has had a reconciliation. He contended before the court that he was not only eager, but willing to return to his family and that he would give them his care if he be granted a suspended sentence.
Judge Stanford granted a three year's suspended sentence during which time Aguiar will be compelled to report from time to time to the probation officer of the county."
- Arizona Republican (Phoenix, AZ), February 17, 1917, p. 4.
