husband of Hazel M Farner and son of Susie (Wingert) Stockslager. Mr. Stockslager retired from SKF Industries in Shippensburg in 1980. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg, and the Comrades Sunday School class. Mr. Stockslager was a life member of the Mercersburg Sportsman's Association. He is survived by one son, Alvin Stockslager of Camp Hill; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his mother and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Roger Stockslager; one daughter, Shirley Mixell; two sisters, Hazel Wiles and Alma Kauffman; and two brothers, John Stockslager and Ralph Stockslager.

I knew, and was very fond of Mr. Stockslager's brother, John, who was a resident of Rose Manor Assisted Living at the same time I was. John shared the dining room table with me and I grew to love him. My sympathy in the loss of Alvah.
