Archelaus, the son of Archelaus and Sarah
(Coker) March Adams, was engaged as a joiner
and shipwright. He married Mercy Dow on,
April 28, 1737, Mercy, born Nov. 27, 1717
the dau. of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Perkins
Dow of Hampton, N.H.

They were the parents of the following
children:
Sarah b. Jan 12, 1737/8, m. John Morrill Jr
Mary b. July 13, 1739, m. Ebenezer Tucker.
Betsey b. June 21, 1742, m. Joseph Flanders.
Zilpha b. Nov. 11, 1743, m. Jonathan Ring.
Joseph b. Apr. 19, 1745, m. Mary Currier.
Samuel b. Nov. 6, 1747, d. Feb. 23, 1748.
Samuel b. Jan. 13, 1749, to N.H.
Abigail b. Jun 18, 1752, m. Mr. Stevens.
Mercy b. June 14, 1755 died young.(twin)
Archelaus b. June 14, 1755 (twin) to N.H.

Archelaus's father, Archelaus b. 1674 was a soldier at York, ME, the year of 1695 and a yeomen living at Newbury until, 1721, when having became a Mariner. He removed to Salisbury. He called "of Newbury," in 1718, "of Amesbury," 1719, "late of Newbury,
1729", 1730 to 1744 kept Inns in both
Newbery and Salisbury. He married Sarah
(Coker) March, Mar. 18, 1698. She died in
Newbury, Mar. 4, 1717/18.
They were the parents of nine children.
After the death of Sarah, Archelaus married,
widow Sarah Green of Salisbury, Mar. 4, 1719,
she died Sept. 9, 1740, Age 64.
Widow Mary Dorothy Clement, Aug. 26, 1741,
she died Oct. 7, 1741.
Widow Mary Sarah Pearson, of Newbury, April 20, 1742. She survived him.
Archelaus conveyed to his son, Stephen his
house and land. His will was dated May 24,
1753 and proved Sept. 27, 1753.

March: Sarah, Mary, Samuel, John, Elizabeth,
Stephen, ARCELAUS b. NOV. 21, 1714,and
Nathaniel.

Archelaus b. Nov. 21, 1714, son of John and
Sarah Woodman Adams, was named after his
maternal grandfather, Archelaus Woodman.

Archelaus's grandfather was Lt. John Adams born the year of 1632, a farmer at Ipswich, five children. Married to a Rebecca who died, Oct. 31, 1666. Married 2nd Sarah Woodman, widow of John Brocklebank of Rowley 1667. Sarah died May 31, 1676 and John
married Dorcas Dewitt, May 8, 1677. John died 1717 and Dorcas died Nov. 9, 1707
Archelaus's gr.grandfather was, Willam Adams of Cambridge, MA., born 1594 at Wen England
and died Jan. 2, 1659, age 64 at Ipswich,
four children. (END)

buried at the, Old Hill Burying Ground,
Newburypoint, MA.
Mary Dorothy, 3rd wife of Archelaus (1764)
is buried at the, Old Hill Buring Ground,
