The year of 1883 at the age of 96, Mary Hickok Adams, wife of Ezekiel Adams sat down with,historian, Erasmus Briggs of Rochester, N.Y., and shared with Erasmus this piece of family history, regarding her son Andrew Adams. The information was later placed into a book and entered into the Library of Congress at Washington, D.C., by Mr. Briggs
As follows is Mary's story.
"Andrew Adams was born in 1823. His father
was Ezekiel Adams, his mother's maiden name
was Mary Hickok, his grandfather's name was
Joseph Adams, and his grandmother's maiden
name was Mary Currier. Andrew Adams lives
on the land, which his father settled on,
the year of 1817. He was married to Vanila
Francisco. Their children were: Lenna R.,
Leona A., and Clellie M. Adams
Andrew's mother, Mary Hickok Adams died at
on the family farm near Boston, N.Y. at the
the age of ninety-eight, and is buried at
the Cobble Hill Cemetery, a short distance
southwest of the town of Boston.
Andrew's brother's and sister were: William
L. Adams of Lincoln, IL; Caroline, Sprngville,
N.Y.; Ambrose, town of Maple, Crowley Co.
Kansas; Abner C., Springville, N.Y.
William L. Adams was the gr. grandfather of
Lila Joyce Adams Emerick, wife of Robert
