Mrs. Mary L. Barnhill Ammons, age 78, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 following a breif illness.

One of twelve children, Mary Barnhill Ammons was born on December 29, 1933 in Lakeland, Fl., a daughter of the late Joyel D. Barnhill and the late Johnnie L. Keef Barnhill. Mary was a graduate of Cedartown High School and was retired from Hubbard's Manufacturing after twenty-five plus years of dedicated service. She was a long time member of the Southside Baptist Church, where she also was a member of the Willing Worker's Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ammons was also preceded in death by her husband; William D. Ammons in February 2012, 2 sons; William Ammons & Tommy Ammons, a daughter; Marie Ammons Rivera, a grandson; D. J. Sisneros, 3 brothers; Joyel Barhill, Jr., Olien Barnhill and Benjamin Barnhill and sister; Christine Barnhill.

Mary Ammons is survived by her son and daughter in law; Jeff & Crystal Ammons, her daughters; Betty Blakenship & Darlene Sisneros, her son in law; Gilberto Rivera, her brothers; Michael, Billy Ray, Herbert, & Bobby Barnhill, sisters; Peggy Herman, Vera Vines & Sarah Armstrong. Eleven Grandchildren, Seventeen Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary L. Barnhill Ammons will be conducted on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Arp officiating. Mrs. Ammons will lie in state at the Church from 1:00 until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Litesey Funeral Home.

The following Gentlemen have been ask to serve as Pallbearers: Michael Barnhill, Randy Stephens, William Sisneros, Thomas Ammons, Jerimy Chavev and Eric Tyson. Thomas Ledbetter and Marvin Duncan will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
