Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 9, for Frank Edward Brunkow. He was the youngest son of William F. and Caroline Brunkow, born July 8, 1876 near Duluth, Kans. In his infancy he was baptized and in his boyhood he became an active member of the Lutheran church. He found a life's companion in Emilie Kolterman on Dec. 11, 1901, which union was blessed with two children; she died Mar. 28, 1904. God meant it for good. He always does. Eleven years later, on Mar. 2, 1915, he was united in marriage with Marie Itter, who deeply mourns his departure. He is mourned besides his devoted wife, by six children: Mrs. Sylvia Nieman of Topeka and Walter, of Soldier, by his first wife, Emilie; and Mrs. Evelyn Miller of Havensville, Meryl and Orville of Topeka, and Mrs. Alice Schneider, of Marion, Texas; by three sisters, Mrs. A. F. Kolterman, Mrs. Pauline Honig and Mrs. Wm. Honig; also by mine grandchildren. Mr. Brunkow was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Duluth. Interment took place at the Duluth cemetery. His pastor, Rev. J. A. E. Bauer, officiated. Pall bearers were his sons and sons-in-law.
