Birth: Dec. 27, 1826
Walton-on-Trent, England
Death: Oct. 22, 1897
Sevier County
Utah, USA

Monroe Sevier Co. Oct 29, 1897-Hannah Moon Hunt, wife of Thomas Hunt, gently passed from this life in the arms of her husband, after a short struggle, although she had been unwell for some time. The day prior to her death, she and Brother Hunt went out for a buggy ride, and retired to bed in better than usual health, she awakened with pains at 4 o'clock in the morning, which continued slightly for four hours when she passed away. Her death occurred on Oct. 22, 1897.
She was born in Denby, Common Derbyshire, England; was married to Thomas Hunt Dec. 25, 1847; baptized Nov. 22, 1848 at Clay Cross, Sheffield conference; moved to Sunderland, Newcastle conference in 1852; emigrated in 1855 and settled in Alton, Il.; came to Utah in 1862 and located at Maroni, Sanpete county, where she continued to reside until called upon to settle with the first settlers of Sevier county, locating in Alma, now Monroe, where she has resided ever since, with the exception of the time of the vacation caused by Indian dangers and depredations. Thus she was inured to the hardships of pioneer life in this country. Her heart was always full of sympathy for the afflicted and she has not gone to receive her reward.
Her family consisted of ten children, five boys and five girls, seven of whom and a loving husband remain to mourn her departure. Her children are all married. She also leaves forty-four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

To a woman with a brave pioneering spirit, who I am proud to call my ancestor. I will visit Breech Cottage and try to visit Francis. Until we meet,
