Aletha D. (Carver) Armstrong, aged 82 of Clare, died on Friday Dec, 26, in the Clare Nursing Home. She was born on May 3, 1904 in Sheridan Twp. the daughter of Frederick & Mary E. (Runyan) Allen. She married Forest L Carver on June 20, 1923 and he predeceased her in 1978. She than married Laurence Armstrong on May 16, 1981.
Mrs. Armstrong was a life resident of the area and a home maker. She was a member of the Brown Corners United Brethren Church.
She is survived by her husband Laurence; a son Roger Carver of Clare and 2 daughters Mrs. Malcolm (Laureen) Cooper of Okemos & Mrs. Paul (Mary) Sheets of Ithaca; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; 1 brother Bernard Allen of Beaverton.
Funeral services were held on Monday December 29, 1986 at 2:00 p.m, in the Brown Corners United Brethren Church with Pastor Paul Sheets (her son-in-law) and Pastor Chuck Malson officiating. Burial was in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Arrangements were by the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home. Clare Sentinel dated 30 Dec 1986
