Mrs. Henry Block, Lewiston, Dead
Lewiston, Minn. - (Special) - Mrs. Henry Block, 53, died at 8:18 a. m. today at her home here. She had been ill since an operation June 4 and contracted pneumonia a month ago, never recovering. She was the former Laura Yackel. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Services Monday at Lewiston for Mrs. Henry Block
Lewiston, Minn. -- (Special) -- Funeral services will be conducted at St. Paul's church here at 2:30 p.m. Monday for Mrs. Henry Block, 69, who died at 8:15 a.m. Friday at her home. She had been ill since June. The Rev. H. H. Hunger will officiate. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. Monday until the hour of services. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery at St. Charles. Friends may call at the Wellman funeral home Saturday afternoon.
Pallbearers will be Harold Michael, Ernest Anderson, Lloyd Mulholland, Lawrence Lewis, Prosper Linden and Herman Krenske.
Mrs. Block, the former Laura Katherine Yackel, was born March 2, 1893, in Winona, youngest daughter of Henry and Adelina Graf Yackel. She was married June 28, 1917, and the couple lived in Lewiston since.
She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical church and was active in the Ladies Aid. She was a charter member of the Auxiliary of American Legion post No. 90, and received a certificate of meriterious service from the American Red Cross for work during World War II.
She is survived by her husband; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Brugger, Winona; Mrs. Lewis (Ella) Mau, Fairmont, and Mrs. Lyle (Lillian) Swanson, Minneapolis; and three brothers, Henry, Winona; Herbert, Chicago, and Otto, Minneapolis.
