Jewell`Judy'Abdallah, 86, of Uniontown, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 24, 2011.Born in Huntington, W. Va., she had lived most of her life in the Akron area and had attended The University of Akron. Mrs. Abdallah was recognized for her writing skills and had been awarded the Decision Magazine's Christian Writer of the Year Award.She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George Abdallah, long time pastor of Grace Baptist Church.Her survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy Abdallah; daughter, Jane Alexander; grandchildren, David, Jr. (Kim) and Amy Abdallah; great-grandsons, Alex and Jason Abdullah. The family wishes to express special thanks to the family ``angel,' Kathy Dempsey.Friends may call on Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.), where Rev. Amy Starr Redwine will officiate at services at Noon. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Grace Baptist Church (704 N. Firestone Blvd., Akron, OH 44306). -
