Born in Alabama (or Tennessee), the daughter of John Warren and Dorothy Osborn Norton. Her family converted to the Mormon faith and emigrated to Missouri and Illinois, eventually becoming pioneers to Utah. She married George Pickup, a member of the Nauvoo Legion. She was divorced in 1857 and in 1858 entered into plural marriage with Richard Smith Norwood. They settled in Morgan County near Porterville where the location of their farm is still known as "Norwood Canyon." She bore seven Norwood children. Joining the "United Order" they later moved from Porterville to Kane County in the Orderville community in 1880. In 1886 she left Orderville to live with her son, J.E. Pickup, in Emery County, and later returned to Porterville to be near her daughters, Sarah Jane Norwood Durrant and Dorothy Norwood Marker. Her grave is not marked.
