Jared Bradley Hilton was born February 28, 1983, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, January 24, 2000 in Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of sixteen years, ten months, and twenty-six days.

He was survived by his parents, Brad Hilton, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Angie and Gib Adkins, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Brittanie Hilton, and Myranda and Emily Adkins, all of the home; a brother, Andrew Adkins, of the home; his grandparents, June Hilton, of Camdenton, Missouri, Ray and Jean Henson, of Lebanon, Missouri, Jerry and Priscilla Ritchie of Lakeport, California; and Emma Jean Adkins, of Lebanon, Missouri; his great-grandparents, Madeline and Ivol Amburgey, of Sassafras, Kentucky; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special friend, Mary Shumate, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

He lived his entire life in Lebanon and attended the Lebanon R-111 Public Schools. He had completed his Sophomore year of studies in the Lebanon High School, where he was varsity goalie for the L.H.S. Soccer Team. He also was a member of the Lebanon High School Concert Choir.

Jared accepted Christ at an early age, during Vacation Bible School, and was an active member of First Baptist Church. He was involved in all phases of youth ministry in the church and was a good witness for the Lord.

He had operated a lawn mowing business along with his friend, John Marshall, and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed deer hunting and especially liked old cars. He was very fond of traveling and particularly loved the beach. His family was very special to him and he, in turn, was very special to them. He was the family diplomat who always tried to keep the peace among the family members.

Jared was a loving son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, and cousin, and was a kind and caring friend. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.

Rest in peace Jared. You are buried next to my grandson, Dillon, who was only fourteen years old when he died. You both were too young to have been taken from your loved ones.
