Stacy was the second child and first son born to Jessie Merritt 'Bruce' and Isaac James "Ike" Fluellen in the old town of Elmina close to Huntsville, Texas. On the 25th of October, 1940 he married Geraldine Hugonin and they had one daughter, Sandra. Geraldine was killed in an accident on the Old Galveston Highway in the summer of 1945, Stacy was in the Navy. After returning to civillian life, Stacy worked for Houston Engineers, a oil field service company. Later he worked for Wilson Industries out of Houston. He married Charlene Mason in Fort Bend County, Texas on August 5, 1948 and they had no children.
