Funeral service for LARRY GLEN DAVIS, 59, of Lawton, will be at 10 a.m., on Thursday, at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel, with Jim Antwine, officiating.

Mr. Davis died on Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, in Lawton.

Burial will be at Pecan Cemetery.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1946, in San Francisco, Calif. He came to Lawton with his family as a small child. He attended school here and graduated from Lawton High School. He married Anita Gail Wilson on March 16, 1968 in Lawton.

He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1967 and served in Vietnam and was later stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base in Arkansas and Beal Air Force Base in Marysville, Calif. After being honorably discharged from the military in 1971, he and Gail returned to Lawton and he began a career in civil service for the government at Fort Sill, serving 30 years, before retiring in 2001.

He worked for 15 years at the family firecracker stand at Lake Lawtonka. He was a member of the Island Green Golf Course and the Eastside Golf Course.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gail, of the home; two daughters, Laura Davis Hooper and her husband Chip, Lawton, and Casey Davis Denard and her husband Shane, Oklahoma City; two grandsons, Jacob and Colin Hooper, Lawton; his father, Wayne Rodgers, Lawton; two brothers, Liss Rodgers, Lawton, and Gary Rodgers and his wife Alicia of Muskogee; two sisters, JoAnn Cummings, Lawton, and Lynda Cox and her husband Joe, Medicine Park; four nephews and a niece, Cecil Cummings, Neil Cunningham, Christopher James Cunningham, Kade Rodgers, and Kenady Rodgers.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Viola Rodgers.
