Dorothy Kathryn (Myers) Albring, 77 years, of Temperance, MI, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. As a lifelong resident of Temperance she owned and operated the Albring Farms and Greenhouses for 58 years along with her late husband, Lynn, who passed away last year. She was born, Dorothy Kathryn Myers on May 25, 1932, to Jacob and Dorothy (Holey) Myers. Dorothy was a 1951 graduate of Bedford High School where she met her husband and married him on June 28, 1952. She was a charter member of the Lullaby Group, part of the Michigan State Extension since 1951. She was also a member of the Eva Rebekah Lodge and had been voted a past Grand Marshal. Dorothy's many hobbies included; painting, playing cards, reading and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grand-children. She was a member of the Erie United Methodist Church since 1952. Dorothy will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was a great lady with a tender caring heart. She will now be in heaven with her husband, whom she has missed dearly over the last 10 months. Dorothy is survived by her children, Deborah (David) St. John, William (Karen) Albring, John (Sue) Albring, Michael Albring, Diane Monaghan, and Colleen (Tom) Clock; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jacob (Ann) Myers, Bradley (Sara) Myers, DeArle (Betty) Myers, Loren (Pearl); sisters, Grace (Robert) Semler, Jeanne (Ken) Meyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn, her parents, and her brothers, Nathan, Harry and Robin. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-8 p.m. in the Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Erie United Methodist Church where she will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Dana Strall, pastor of Erie United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Bedford Memorial Cemetery.
