Christopher Gray Baker, age 33 of Broadway, died Saturday (01/12/2013). He was born in Lee County, son of Donnie Gray Baker and Ann Wells McMillan. He was an employee of Oldham and Oldham Construction and loved his family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Friday at the Broadway Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kenneth McNeill officiating. Entombment will follow at Lee Memory Gardens. Surviving are his father, Donnie Gray Baker and wife Kathy of Carthage, NC; Mother Ann Wells McMillan and husband Randy of Robbins, NC; Son Landon Kyle Baker of Olivia, NC; Sister Jennifer Ann Grubbs and husband Daniel of Sanford, NC; and Paternal Grandmother Frances Scism of Sanford, NC. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday evening at the Smith Funeral Home in Broadway. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations are made to the Local Government Federal Credit Union c/o Ann McMillan for the Christopher Baker Fund. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home of Broadway.
