Death of Minnie Belle Arend South Side Residest Leaves Husband and Five Small Children Mourn Loss Following an operation for appendicites, Mrs. Minnie Belle Arend, wife of A. H. Arend of No. 1523 Ridge street, and mother of five small children, passed away this morning at 6:10 o'clock at St. Joseph's hospital, and the bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of all Keokuk in the great sorrow which has come to them. The deceased was born in Calloway county, Mo., thirty-two years ago and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Sisley of this city. She came here fifteen years ago and had made Keokuk her home ever since. She married fifteen years ago in Keokuk to A. H. Arend who survives together with the following children: Lindel August, Floyd Raymond, Lola Helen, Blanche Frances and Ethel May Arend. There are also a brother and a sister Mrs. Lillian Webb and Arthur Sisley.

The funeral arrangements have not as yet been made.

GONE TO MEET HER MOTHER

Death of Little Ethel May Arend Whose Mother Died Only Two Months Ago. The death of Ethel May Arend, infant daughter of A. II. Arend, died at the family home, 1513 Ridge street, at 3:30 o'clock Sunday after noon, after one week's illness of pneumonia. There is something pathetic in the taking off of this bright little girl in the fact that her mother died only about two months ago, leaving a husband and five children and now the pet, the youngest of the family, has been summoned to join the loving and tender departed parent.

The baby girl is survived by her father, two brothers, Lindell August, and Floyd Raymond, and two sisters Lola Ellen and Blanche Frances.

The funeral will occur at the family home 1513 Ridge street, at 3:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, where funeral services will be held, Rev. J. Episcopal church officiating.

AREND—The funeral of Ethel May Arend. infant daughter of A. H. Arend, aged 9 months, will be held at the, family residence, 1523 Ridge street, at 3 o'clock tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon, service to be conducted by Rev. J. M. Brown of the Trinity Methodist Episcopal church. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
