JAKE S. ALLDERICE

Jake S. Allderdice, 53, died Wednesday, June 8, 1994, at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Cremation has taken place. Services were held Monday, June 13, 1994,at 2:00 P.M. at the Valier United Methodist Church. Burial took place at the Lakeview Cemetery. The Pondera Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jake was born November 16, 1940 to Clarence and Margaret Allderdice. He attended schools in Big Sandy and graduated in 1958. He married Linda Schwenke in 1964 and later divorced.

Jack farmed in the Chinook area and moved to Valier in 1976, where he operated a bar and guide service. He later worked as a carpenter. He was an avid reader, hunter, and fisherman. His greatest gift to his family and friends was his 13 years of sobriety.

He is survived by two children: Dodd of Valier and Brenda of Wells, Nev; two brothers, Jim of Loma and Ed of Big Sandy; two sisters, Pat Knottenrus of Grand Junction, Co. and Fay Danielsen of O'Fallon, Il: 15 nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to be sent to the Valier Public Library.
