Clara Ross Cloninger born June 31,1909 in Nevada,Texas went to be with The Lord Jan 19,2004 .She was preceded in death by her mother Frances Ross and father Robert Ross. Sisters Myrtle and Martha a daughter Betty Frances Cloninger 1938 and her husband of 50 years William Franklin Cloninger.

Clara is suvived by Daughters Ellen Lavern Cloninger Hudson, Bernice Marie Cloninger Crouch,Ruby Florene Cloninger Doss and Margarett Fae Cloninger Orr. a brother in Law Doy Cloninger of Burleson,Texas and wife Ada Mae. Granchildren great granchildren and great great granchildren.

Aunt Clara invited me to come visit her on April 21,2001. She felt her time was nearing to go and be with her Lord. She wanted me to conduct her funeral. These are some of the things she wanted me to say. She told me how she met my uncle Frank.

He was playing baseball with his brother Alvis one day near Farmerville,Texas. She was invited to come and play with them. She told me as soon as she saw those pretty brown eyes she fell in love. She loved him ever since that special day. They were married in McKinney,Texas on September 18,1924

She told me how they had a wonderful life together. Rasied four beautiful girls that never gave them any trouble. She told me how she loved Frank's family. They had a big family and were very close. She told me stories of how they would hunt squirrels and rabbits and Franks mother would make some biscuits and fry up the animals in a big pot.

Times were simple back then she said. Not much to do in a country town back in the 20's. They had good times though. Even through the depression of the 30's they made it just fine. She said she always knew The Lord would take care of her. The tough times make us stronger she said. That is biblical. in Romans Paul tells us this .

Clara told me she accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was 12 years old. She was a Baptist and was involved in WMU and taught Sunday school for years for adults and youth. "He has carried me all these years she said. She talked openly about death and how she was ready. She said she wanted to meet her loved ones who went on before her. She said when she kissed her husband Frank for the last time he said I'll see you in heaven. She was ready to go meet him again. She said when she died she would be in a better place.

Some of her favorite hymms Jesus is all the world to me and In the sweet by and by

She told me a service such as this is the perfect time to talk about ones salvation. We are all thinking about it at a time like this she said.

The bible tells us that Jesus is the only way we can obtain our salvation.
We must accept Him as our Lord and savior. John 14:6

Clara wanted me to tell you this she wants to see you all again someday.
The bibles tells us we can see our loved ones again if we accept the salvation God offers us. I Thes.
