He was a member of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sara Royer; a son, Charles E., of Mechanicsburg; five daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Pechart, of Lemoyne, Mrs. Paul Karns, of Mechanicsburg, Miss Janet Hosler, of Dillsburg RD3, Mrs. Elwood Pechart of Camp Hill, and Mrs. Harry McCauslin, of Franklintown; a brother, G. Hummel, of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Mrs. George A. Waggoner, of Hogestown, and Mrs. Frank McGuire, of Mechanicsburg; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home at 37 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Norman L. Bortner and Dr. M. R. Hamsher officiating.
Burial will be in Stone Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 tonight.
