Mass of Christian Burial for Monica Susan Stoffels Banks of Stephenville was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 23 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Muenster with Rev. Ken Robinson officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery immediately following the service. A rosary/vigil led by Fr. Ken was held at 6 p.m., Friday, October 22, at McCoy Funeral Home in Muenster.
Sue died at the age of 57 on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth with her loving family by her side.
Born January 16, 1953 in Muenster, Sue was one of seven children of Meinrad and Anna Mae Fuhrmann Stoffels. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family began calling her "Susie" at an early age, adapting to her role as a middle child by helping her mother cook, clean, and whatever it took to help out. She was a wonderful cook, had a good sense of humor, was compassionate, and had a good, giving heart.
She is survived by close friend Glenn Banks of Stephenville, daughters Kendra Macon of Lago Vista, Kristi and James Allison of Belton, Misty Macon of Lago Vista, Megan Wood of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Michelle Banks of Arlington; sons James and Courtney Banks of Stephenville, and Chad and Joyce Ramsey of Gainesville; 11 grandchildren, Landon, Kaylee, Gabriel, Jack, Lydia, Jeremy, Taylor, Hallie, Sampson, Xavier, and Aniyah; brothers, Mike Stoffels of Muenster, and Nick and Bonnie Stoffels of Gainesville; sisters Sara and Daniel Woodmansee of Gainesville and Darla and David Hash of Springdale, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Donnie and Doug Stoffels.
