He married Nancy Jane/Jennie Howell 1 OCT 1883 in MO, Saline Co, daughter of John Howell and Elizabeth Cain. She was born 22 JAN 1865 in IL, Hancock Co, Plymouth, and died 22 NOV 1943.

Background: The Topeka State Hospital operated as a hospital for the mentally ill between the years of 1879 and 1997.
Prior to 1901 it was known as the Topeka Insane Asylum. The buildings and grounds still exist and are well preserved.Most of the people buried in the cemetery at the hospital are buried in unmarked graves; however, a dozen or so headstones are
