Kenneth P. Andreske, 73, of 2706 Jelinek Ave., Weston, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
He was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Wausau. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War, and also was enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He married Donna Mae Schulz on July 23, 1955, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Wausau. On May 29, 2001, Ken received his honorary degree from the Veterans Administration, graduating from Wausau East High School at Thom Field.
Ken served on the Board of Directors at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. He also was a former property director. Ken volunteered for the Wausau Volunteer Center. Ken enjoyed his dart ball team at Mount Olive and fishing.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. The Rev. Brad Hubbard will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau, with military graveside services conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post No. 388.
