Mrs. L.H. Van Allen died at home of her daughter in Jackson

Mrs. L. H. VanAllen, of this city, died at 12:30 Sunday morning at the home of her daugher, Mrs. F. D. Taylor, of Jackson, with whom she and her husband ahd been spending two weeks. Mrs. Van Allen was taken ill with acute indigestion and heart trouble a week ago Sunday, and this caused her death, but she had not been in good health for a couple of years.

The home had been at 107 Union street, this city, since 1891 and prior to that had been in Somerset Center. In 1874 Mr. and Mrs. Van Allen came to this country from New York state and last Fourth of July celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in this city.

Besides the husband there is left to mourn one son, three daughters and a sister. The son is W. B. Van Allen [Wallace], of Los Angeles, Cal, and the daughters, Mrs. Taylor [Maud] of Jackson, Mrs. A. B. Sanderson [Sarah] of Homer [Hanover], and Mrs. Pliny Phillips [Julia} of Somerset Center.

The husband and daughter from Homer [Hanover] accompanied the body to this city on the noon train. The burial will take place in Oak Grove cemetery but arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made.
