She was united in marriage to the late Frank Eugene Bradford, Jr., on January 21, 1940. They were blessed with two sons, Calvin and Roland.
"Miss Jessie" was a devoted mother and a loyal community worker. She worked as a dietician in the Jackson Public School System for twenty-nine years. "Miss Jessie" was an avid church member serving as President of the Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Missionary Society Member and Kitchen Coordinator. She was a long time member of the Bailey Avenue Garden Club.
She departed this life on Wednesday, September 10, 2003. She leaves to mourn her passing: two sons, Calvin Bradford (Linda), Denver, CO, Roland Bradford (Agatha), Jackson, MS; four grandchildren, Angela Bradford, Jackson, MS, Carmen Richardson (Kelvin), Memphis, TN, Howard Bradford (Jodie), Hawaii and Neka Bradford, New York, NY; four great, grandchildren, Chantel, Kayla, Xavier and Nicholas, a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
