Alpheus was the first husband of Harriett Loa Bullion. Loa remarried second, Marvin Myrt Maloney.
Alpheus was the son of Issac U. Brooks. Alpheus'sons memorial numbers are: 23580983 (Alpheus Myrl Brooks) and 23580922 (George Earl Brooks). They are buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Kingman, Arizona along with their mother, Loa, and their stepfather, Myrt. A. Myrl Brooks was born after his father's death.

Young Man Died Suddenly in Gatesville
A. G. Brooks, aged 28 yrs, died at Gatesville, Friday afternoon quite suddenly. He formerly resided in this city and was the son of I.U. Brooks who is in the grocery business on South Sixth Street. His wife and child were in the city on a visit to Mr. Brooks' parents when on Friday afternoon they received a telegram announcing the serious illness of Mr. Brooks. They started to Gatesville by private conveyance but before they had proceeded far they were met with the sad message that he was dead. The remains arrived in the city yesterday afternoon from Gatesville and the funeral will occur this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the First Baptist Church.
The deceased has only been living in Gatesville a few months having removed there from Waco. He was well known in the city and had resided here for many years. He was a prominent Macrabee and was for a time record keeper in Lone Star Tent No. 41. After moving to Gatesville, he was elected commander of the tents in that city and the remains were accompanied to Waco by Messrs. Hotbrsek and Boyd, two Sir Knights of that city.
The young man was very popular with all who knew him and his death was a hard blow to his many friends. The heart-broken wife and little boy have the loving condolence of all their friends here and elsewhere.
The following are pallbearers :R.V. McLain, Tom Dilworth, J.N. Thomas, R.A. Word, John Strecker and Max Lippard. All Macrabees in the city are requested to attend the funeral this afternoon.
You are requested to meet at Macrabee _________ corner of _______ and A______ streets at 3 P.M., April 2, to attend the funeral of Sir Knight A.G. Brooks. Funeral services will be a First Baptist Church at 3 o'clock.
