Velma Willeford Calk, 91, died Sunday, Nov. 15, at Hamilton General Hospital.
Services were Wednesday, Nov. 18, at First Baptist Church with Michael Graham officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Riley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Calk was born Oct. 28, 1907, in Hamilton, the daughter of R. O. and Jenny Harber Willeford. She was married to James David Calk on December 19, 1931, in Brownwood. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 1994.
She was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Star and First Baptist Church. She had lived in Hamilton for 20 years, moving here from Fort worth.
Survivors include a son, James R. Calk of Arlington; a grandson, James R. Calk, Jr. of Lufkin; a great-granddaughter, Shelbye Christina Calk; and two nephews, Bill and Jack Roberts.
Pallbearers were Hal Havens, Hayden Havens, Mickey Kinsey, Bert Schrank, and Bill Barkley.
