Moved to Simpson County (about 7 mi. south of Franklin, KY). John Booker, a native of Warren County, KY was born in 1812, died Jan. 29, 1890. His first wife and mother of his children, was Sally (Sarah), daughter of Moses and Rachael (Hardy) Scott, of Simpson County, KY. She was born 1816, died 1874 per her tombstone. (Perrin's History Book of Kentucky shows the death as 1871 - age 63.)
His 2nd marriage was to Mary E. Brown on Aug. 5, 1875, born Nov. 19, 1845, died; Mar. 12, 1882.
John lived with his son, Moses and Sammie Ella Wantland until his death.
John Booker and both wives are buried out in Franklin, KY in the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, located 3.6 mi. SW of Franklin on Hwy 383 (Springfield Rd); then 2.5 mi. W on Neosheo Road (Hwy. 664). Cemetery is on north side of road beside the Sulphur Spring Baptist Church.
