Rev. Willis W. Alexander
REV. WILLIS W. ALEXANDER Gary, IN Formerly of Fayetteville, TN Age 64, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Northlake Rehab Center. Willis graduated from Jones Training High School and continued his education at Indiana Christian Bible Coalition and Moody Bible Institute. Willis was honorably discharged from the United States Army on July 20, 1967. He was retired from Laidlaw Transportation. Willis was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in East Chicago, IN, under the Pastoral leadership of Rev. J.C Wade Jr., the Baptist City Ministry Conference, and is the current Pastor at New Sardis M.B Church. Willis is preceded in death by parents, Rev. Parker and Cleo Alexander. He leaves to cherish his loving memory: son, Willis W. (Yvonne) Alexander Jr.; granddaughter, Yoni Alexander, all of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Vivian Roper of Louisville, KY; two nephews, Luther Roper and Willie Pollard, both of Nashville, TN; godchildren, Jalen Davis and Essence Dawson; honorary godchildren, LaShawn Sanders, Eriq Harris, Zaire Moore; play daughters, Loretta Turner and Adrene Tyler. Visitation Friday, July 11, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., all services will be held at New Sardis M.B. Church, 2289 Taney Street. Rev. R.T. Mitchell and Rev. Booker Hart, officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park. Professional services rendered by Guy & Allen Funeral Directors, Inc.
