Krystyna Abram 56, Lawton, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, in Lawton. She was born Jan. 12, 1952, in Cirencester, England, to Peter and Helen Karbowski. She married Thomas J. Abram on May 18, 1994, in Lawton. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for more than 25 years. She graduated from Cameron University with an Associate's Degree in nursing in 1982. She was a member of the Comanche County Memorial Hospital Nursing team for 26 years and a member of the Labor and Delivery Unit for 25 years.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel K. and Angela Garcia, Elgin, and Nicholas G. and Dana Garcia, Norfolk, Va.; a stepdaughter and her husband: Jennifer and David Burks, Fort Wainwright, Alaska; her mother; a sister, Alice Crewz, Sleepy Hollow, Ill.; seven grandchildren: Stephen, Aspen, Hannah, Amelia, Emerald, Lilah and Hunter; her father and mother-in-law: Carl and Rita Abram, Chicago, Ill.; a brother-in-law and his wife: Christopher E. and Michele Abram, Chicago; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral Mass is Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Marvin Leven, retired priest of Okarche, officiating. Burial will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin under direction of Becker Funeral Home. A wake service will be Tuesday at the funeral home chapel.
