Born Ray Co. MO. Her father was James Elliott, of whom little is known except that he appears to have been a bigamist (possibly Mormon). He continued to live with his first wife Elizabeth Morris Elliott and their children after his marriage to Sarah Hyder. Sarah, perhaps learning the truth, married Thomas Pounds in 1860, with whom she had two children, half-siblings of Annie Harmon. Sarah died in 1916 in Caldwell Co. MO, and her monument is linked below.
Anna married (1) William Barnhart in 1871; (2) Eli Shufler in 1873; and (3) John Harmon in 1882. She and John Harmon resided in Ray Co. until after 1910. He died 26 Dec. 1911. By 1920 Anna had moved to Jackson Co. Missouri.
The information on Annie's death certificate was provided by her daughter Nola Mae Harmon, with whom Annie was living at the time of her death. At that time Nola Mae was still single.
