Services Held for Mrs. J. F. Badham
The death of Mrs. J. F. Badham occurred shortly after midnight Sunday night at a Cedar Rapids hospital after an illness of a few days. Together with her husband she was planning to leave for California to visit their son, Leslie, just before she was taken ill.
She was born Henrietta Bowes, daughter of James and Sarah Bowes, December 4, 1867 in Rock county (sic), Illinois, was married there June 16, 1885, and moved to Marion in 1903, and later to the farm four miles north of town which has since been their home, save during a few years interval when they lived in Cedar Rapids.
Surviving is her husband, two sons, Ernest E. of Marion and Leslie of Oakland, Calif., and one daughter, Mrs. Theodore Jayne of Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the Marion Methodist church and at one time held membership in the St. Paul's M. E. church in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Yocom chapel in Marion, with the Rev. E. T. Gough, pastor of the Methodist church, in charge of the services. Burial was made in the Cedar Memorial Cemetery.
