GEARTHIRENE BERRY

Gearthirene Berry, 73, of Phoenix and formerly Buckeye died Dec. 15, 2008, in Phoenix.

Mrs. Berry was born June 10, 1935, in Ida, La., to Arthur and Eula Wilburn. When she was about 11, she and her family moved to Buckeye. She married Robert Berry and stayed in Buckeye. Because of poor health, she moved to Phoenix to live with her sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Jean of Phoenix; one son, Quincy Cobbin of Phoenix; three sisters, Gladys Jackson of Pasadena, Calif., Doris Wilburn of Phoenix and Lacy J. Walker of Phoenix; and one brother, Arthur Wilburn Jr. of Buckeye.

Services were Monday in Buckeye and the Rev. Jarvis Berry officiated. Pallbearers were Shaun Wilburn, Jason Phifer, Ronald Harris, Quincy Cobbin, Rodney Fields and Izeke Cobbin.

Interment was at Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Park in Buckeye.
