Funeral services for Harris Parker, 39, were held Friday morning, March 24th, at ten o'clock at Scotland with the Rev. R. S. Lowe conducting the services. Interment was in the Scotland cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Tom Powell, T. U. Rose, Tommy Orsborne, Frank Fisher, John Matthews, Cooper Curtis and Gordon Fullilove.
Mr. Parker was accidentally killed in New Orleans on March 22nd while operating a crane for the Folse Drayage Company of New Orleans. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a Mason. He had made his home in New Orleans for a number of years.
On October 14, 1936, he married Miss Mary Elizabeth Scott who survives. He also leaves a daughter, Anna Parker, New Orleans; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Parker, Winona; two sisters. Mrs. T. U. Rose, Jr., Jackson, Mrs. C. E. Littleton, Holly Grove, Arkansas; four brothers, J. C. Parker, Holly Grove, Ark., Ralph Parker, Grenada, Conger and Charley Parker of Winona.
