Mrs. Elizabeth Alton.
Mrs. Elizabeth Alton died at her home near Fountain Green, at 9 o'clock last Friday morning. We were unable to procure a complete obituary but give a few facts in regard to her life:
She was born in Pennsylvania in 1832 and came to LaHarpe in 1837. She was married to Elliot C. Alton in 1850 and they resided in LaHarpe for six years then moved to Fountain Green [Township] where Mr. Alton died August 27, 1906 She was 74 years of age at the time of her death and leaves five children to mourn her loss. They are Charles and Marcus, Mrs. Mary Champlin, Mrs. Jane Vincent and Mrs. Kate Strong, all living near the old home except Mrs. Vincent whose home is in Iowa.
Funeral was held at the home Sunday conducted by Rev. L. G. Carpenter, of Macomb.
