John Blackard, 75, of 813 Dixie St. died Sunday at Chickasawba Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Blytheville, his parents were pioneer residents of Blytheville and his father owned one of the city's first businesses.
He leaves his widow, Mrs Gillie Grisham Blackard of Blytheville; one son, Carl Blackard of Blytheville; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Weber of San Diego; one sister, Mrs. Evia Spencer of Blytheville; three grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 4 P.M. in Cobb Funeral Home chapel. Mr. David Webb and the Rev. Harold Thompson will officiate with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
