WILLIAM EARL DEBUSK
Funeral services for William Earl DeBusk, 80, of Sweetwater will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at the Fourth and Elm Church of Christ with Joe Bagby and Rev. James Baker officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sweetwater Cemetery.
Services will be directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. DeBusk was born Dec. 13, 1927, in Palava in Fisher County. He was married to Wanda Stracener on July 5, 1978, in Sweetwater.
He had been an accountant for Mobil Oil Co. and Village Market. A lifelong resident of Sweetwater, he was a member of the Fourth and Elm Church of Christ.
He was a member of the Sweetwater Masonic Lodge No. 571 and a Past Master, and was secretary of the lodge for 27 years.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed refurbishing old homes and he owned DeBusk Housing.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda DeBusk of Sweetwater; one son, Weldon DeBusk of Seattle, Wash.; one daughter, Brenda Brotsch and husband Darrel of Sweetwater; one stepson, Gary Stracener and friend Ruth of Sweetwater; one stepdaughter, Latresa Butts of Sweetwater; one grandson; five granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Annie DeBusk.

Pallbearers will be Ed Emerson, Billy Whisenant, Steve Holcomb, Gill Cherry, Cody Paty and Terry Locklar.
