Hiram Booth, b. 13 Jul 1814, in Massachusetts, md. 20 Sep 1838 in Gallia Co. to Belinda Cherrington. She died young, 18 Dec 1840 and about 1841 Hiram remarried to Minerva Manring.

Hiram and Belinda were the parents of: Esther, b 31 Jul 1839; and Joseph, b 1840 or 1841.

Hiram and Minerva were the parents of: Ezra M., b 9 Aug 1842; Sarah Ann, b Mar 6, 1843; Hiram S, b Sep 12, 1845; Jordan, b May 23, 1848; David, b 1849; Sophia Minerva, b Mar 1, 1852; and Eva Bell, b 1855, all born in Wilkesville Twp.

In census records, Hiram's birthplace is inconsistent:
1850 - Vermont; 1860 and 1870 - Massachusetts; and in 1880 - Connecticut. Mount Washington, Berkshire Co., Mass., is the southwest corner of Massachusetts - bordering Connecticut and New York.

Daughter Esther, b. 31 Jul 1839, md. 31 Jan 1864 in Vinton Co. to JOSEPH CUNNINGHAM STEWART (1840-1899). After the 1880 census, they migrated to Butler Co., Kansas. They are buried in Highland Cemetery, Winfield, Cowley County, KS.

Of son, Joseph, b. 1840/41, nothing more is known.

Son Ezra M., b. 9 Aug 1842, served in Co. D, 194th OVI. After the war he married DRUSILLA GRAHAM, b May 1847, Gallia Co, on Oct 29, 1868, Gallia County. They lived in Wilkesville Twp. in the 1870 and 1880 Census, in Huntington, Gallia Co. in the 1900 abd 1910 Census, but lived in Virginia when they died. They are buried in the Hampton National Cemetery, Hampton City, Virginia.

Daughter Sarah Ann, b. 6 Mar 1843, married ISAAC W. MILLER, b Jul 20, 1840, Beaver Co, PA, on Jan 1, 1862, Vinton Co. Sarah Ann (1843-1928) and Isaac W. (1840-1926) Miller are buried at Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi, Ross Co., OH.

Son Hiram S., b. 12 Sep 1845, is buried at Wilkesville Cemetery. He married three times:

Son Jordan, b. 23 May 1848, was certified to teach in 1880, but also farmed. He married JANET CHERRINGTON, b 17 Feb 1850, Evergreen, Gallia Co, on July 21, 1875, Gallia Co. Jordan (1848-1916) and Janet (1850-1939) Booth are buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Gallia Co.

Of son, David, b. 1849, nothing more is known.

Daughter Sophia Minerva, b. 1 Mar 1852, married LEWIS STUART SCOTT, b. 21 Sep 1851, VA, on Dec 31, 1874, Vinton Co. He died on 2 Sep 1896; Sophia M. Scott (1852-1925) is buried at Union Cemetery, Columbus.

Daughter Eva Bell (or Iva), b. 15 Mar 1856, married HENRY A. REISINGER on Aug 31, 1879, Vinton Co. They are found in 1880 in Worth Co., MO; in 1900 in Butler Co., KS; and in 1910 in Stone Co., MO. In 1920 Census Henry A. Reisinger, Memorial 34021945, is in Minidoka Co., Idaho, near their son, Kyrle, Memorial 67617154. Henry died there on 28 Feb 1929, and is buried at Minidoka Acequia Rupert Cemetery, Minidoka Co., ID. No record of her death has yet been found.
