Irene Della Bailey, 86, of Floyd, died Wednesday, August 27, 1997, at her home. She was born in Montgomery County on July 24, 1911. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Bailey; a son, Edward Bailey; and two granddaughters, Melissa Altizer and Shirley Buchanan. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Dorothy B. Harmon of Floyd and Neoma B. and Alvis Altizer of Christiansburg; four granddaughters; two grandsons; two great-g randsons; and a great-granddaughter. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, August 29, 1997, at 11 a.m. in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg, with the Rev. Homer D. Sawyer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg
