A celebration of life will be held for William Joseph Gainey, 37, of Camden, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Bethel Worship Center. Rev. Casey Mills and Pastor Don Goude will officiate. The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be in Mr. Gainey's memory to Bethel Worship Center, 812 Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020. Mr. Gainey died Wednesday, February 20, 2013. He was born in Camden, the son of Rebecca Hancock Gainey and the late Joseph Travis Gainey.
Surviving besides his mother are his maternal grandmother, Elise Hancock of Lugoff; paternal grandmother, Doris Gainey of Camden; sister, Jennifer Gainey Baker (Stan) of Cassatt; nephew, James William Sowell. A special thank you to Compassionate Care Hospice; Ebony Danzy "His Angel" and especially his aunt Beverly Cassady and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His was predeceased by his father, paternal grandfather Dores Gainey, maternal grandfather, Clayton Hancock and grandmother "Granny" Katherine Daniels.
