Inducted at Towner, McHenry, North Dakota on July 22 1918, served in 48th Company, 12th Battalion, 160th Depot Brigade to September 3 1918 the Army, he then served in Company L, 40th Infantry until his death. Freeman died of the Spanish Flu at Camp Custer, Michigan.
Son of Ole Nilssen Gravley who immigranted to the United States in 1880 with his Wife Marta/Martha Knutsdatter Ringheim.
Sister's Eva Amanda and Hilda Marie Gravley are also buried at this cemetery with Freeman.
