|Death: ||Feb. 5, 1892|
This old, marble stone is almost unreadable due to acid rain. I am fairly certain of the "J. E." and the "FEB 1892." The "5" is doubtful. The name "BLOSE" is definitely there.
Looking at the spacing between "AGED" and "YEARS" it appears that there is room for only one digit, so I conclude that this was a child between 1 and 10 years old. I believe that this person was a child of Jeremiah "Jerry" BLOSE (1851) and his wife Matilda WALTON(1856).
The 1910 Census for New Salem Township lists Matilda BLOSE as having 1 of 2 children alive at the time of the Census. I believe that J. E. BLOSE is her child that was deceased.
Also, this gravestone of J. E. BLOSE definitely looks like a child's grave.
