PARAMEDIC

Harold Ray Reeves Jr. passed away with his family by his side on the 29 May 2014, Mt. Pleasant, MI. He was born 19 Jan 1951, in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Betty Lou (McLeod) and Harold Ray Reeves Sr. his father preceded him in death in 1987.

On 30 Nov 1970 he married 1st wife, Linda Jean Harris, they divorced, two children were born from this union, Shawna Kay (Reeves) Hattendorf and his son Harold Ray Reeves III who passed 22 Oct 1993.

He married 2nd wife, Shelly Leigh Audette 18 Apr 1995. They had no children.

Harold was a paramedic and worked for Arenac Co. EMS, Iosco Co. EMS, Ogemaw Co. EMS, United Ambulance Service and also for the Curtis Ambulance. CMI in AuGres, MI and several mechanic positions. He taught many CPR and EMT/Paramedic Classes.

He is survived by his Mother Betty; Wife Shelly; Daughter, Shawna and her husband Joel Hattendorf; three grandchildren, Kaleb and Kristofer Hattendorf, Kelsey (Hattendorf) and her husband, Hunter Tucker. Siblings, Jack and Judy Reeves, Tom and Denise Reeves, Emma Hall, Betty Cornett, Diana and Mike Harvey and Dale Reita (Reeves) Rumph. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives lots of friends, neighbors and co-workers.

He lost his yr. long battle with cancer, he fought hard and didn't give up. I'm so proud of him.

He loved bon fires, camping, hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. Fall was his favorite time of year. He was an awesome Daddy! and will be missed by so many who knew him.

Memorial Services June 13, 2014, 5 P.M. Curtis Baptist Church, Curtis, Michigan. Burial in the Sims/Whitney Cemetery, Au Gres, MI. he will be laid to rest next to his son. Cremation has taken place per his wishes.

Look for his son's marker with the name REEVES on the back of the headstone, can be seen from US 23. In the corner where the fence comes together, last set of headstones.

Harold's grave is located at the far end of the cemetery, he's along US 23 the last headstone along the road before you get to Bessinger Rd.
