Birth: Sep. 23, 1693
Dukes County
Massachusetts, USA
Death: 1775
Windham County
Connecticut, USA

Abiah, the second child of Peter Robinson by first wife Mary Manter, was born at Tisbury on Martha's Vineyard, then part of the Province of New York, now Dukes County, Mass. The 1925 Robinson Genealogy claims she was born Sept. 23, 1693.

On an unknown date, Abiah md. Richard Andrus (or Andrews), s. of John Andrus and Judith Belcher, b. circa 1687 at Ipswich, Mass. His parents relocated from Ipswich to the Long Society on the eastern fringe of Norwich, Conn. after 1695. Richard Andus and Abiah Robinson had no known children. That they resided in the Scotland section of the town of Windham is proved by numerous deeds and probate distribution records at Windham. Abiah is called "my daughter Abiah Androus" in her father's 1740 will. Richard Andus apparently made a will, but it is not of record at the Windham Probate District. Nonetheless, an extensive inventory was taken Mar. 18, 1768 of the "personal and real estate of Mr. Richard Andrus late of Windham," recorded June 12, 1768 by "T. Robinson, Register." It included land called the "school lot" in present-day Scotland, Conn. Except for the widow's "thirds," the majority of Richard Andrus' land in or about Windham was divided to his siblings who did not reside at Windham.

The widow Abiah (Robinson) Andrus left a will dated Jan. 13, 1772. She died between the latter date and Sept. 22, 1775 when the witnesses to the will were sworn by the probate court. Neither she nor her husband have a gravestone record and accordingly, like her sister Sarah, the memorialist has associated Abiah with the Palmertown cemetery, where her long-time stepmother Experience (Lumbert) Robinson has been interred since 1727. On the other hand, the original old section of the Scotland Village Cemetery is where her father and numerous half-siblings are interred.
