Birth: May 13, 1873
Death: May 30, 1947

Captain Bomar was both a Spanish American War veteran and a World War I veteran. In the Spanish American War he served with Company B of the 6th Texas Infantry Regiment. During World War I, he was member of Company F, of the Third Infantry of the District of Columbia National Guard. He was later temporarily promoted to Major with the Infantry Officer's Reserve Corps and was discharged at Camp Jackson, South Carolina on April 18, 1919. He was awarded the Spanish War Service medal, the World War I Victory medal and the World War I Victory button. After the World War he became Editior and Manager of the Southeastern Publishing Co. in Greenville, South Carolina.
