Virgil Edward was the 1st child (son) of Edward Eugene (1871-1942) & Pauline Virgil Adams (1876-1924). Virgil married Doris Annis Dunbar (1917-1995), December 25, 1936, by whom he had two children: Alice Doris (b. 1937) & Edward Virgil (b. 1951).

Virgil Edward Adams, 93. a lifelong resident of Whitehall, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at Mountain View Center Genesis Elder Care Nursing Home in Rutland, VT. Mr. Adams was born on Sept. 13, 1907, in Whitehall, the son of the late Edward and Pauline (Virgil) Adams. Virgil married Doris A. Dunbar on Dec. 25, 1936, and together the couple purchased the family dairy farm from his parents and he continued to operate the dairy farm until his retirement in 1976, when he sold the farm to his children. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Doris, who died in April 1995; by his two sisters, Frances Bigelow and Dorothy Hoyt; and by his brother, Robert L. Adams. Mr. Adams is survived by his daughter, Alice D. Blackwood and her husband, Charles of Whitehall; his son, Edward V. Adams of Whitehall; his four grandchildren, Katie Adams and Kelly Adams, both of Whitehall, Francis Stiles of Whitehall, and Charles E. Stiles of Hubbardton, Vt; his two great granddaughters, Kayla Stiles of Fair Haven, Vt. and Alyson Stiles of Whitehall; his great grandson, Corey Stiles of Whitehall; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Nov. 15 at the Durfee Funeral Home, 119 No. Main Street, Fair Haven, Vt. The Rev. Ashley Meade, pastor of the Dresden Baptist Church in Clemons, officiated.
Burial followed at Sciota Cemetery in Whitehall.
