Private in Company "D" of the re-organized 5th regiment of Wisconsin infantry volunteers, enlisted Aug. 30, 1864 at Stevens Point Wisconsin. Mustered into service on Sept. 9, 1864 at Madison WI and mustered out on June 20, 1865 at Halls Hill, Virginia.
