Jane F. (Hoham) Allen, 75, of Lafayette, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Home Hospital. Born Feb. 26, 1930, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Fred D. and Elma Dickson Hoham, and a life resident of Tippecanoe County. She married John Thomas Allen, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1989. Mrs. Allen worked as an EEG technician at Home Hospital and was previously employed by Arnett Clinic. She was a member of Dayton United Methodist Church, Dayton United Methodist Church Women's Guild, Indiana Art League, Sheffield Home Extension Club Homemakers, Master Gardeners and a sewing group. Mrs. Allen enjoyed flower gardening and traveling. Surviving are a son, Douglas Allen (wife Pauline) of Goshen; a daughter, Beth (Mrs. Bob) Turner of Perry, GA; two brothers, Fred Hoham (wife Hilda) of Portage and Phil Hoham (wife Evelyn) of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Ruth (Mrs. Dick) Weisman of Fort Wayne and Ellen Spearman of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services April 9 in Dayton United Methodist Church, the Rev. John Walls officiating; internment Grand View Cemetery, West Lafayette.
