Toxicology test results are being analyzed to determine the cause of death of a Wilkinsburg man found dead after a fire in his residence early Sunday.
William Goods, 29, may have died of smoke inhalation, the Allegheny County medical examiner said.
Mr. Goods' remains were found shortly after the 2:20 a.m. fire that is believed to have started in the kitchen of the row house in the 1700 block of Montier Street, the medical examiner said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Two males who were in the home with Mr. Goods escaped onto a porch roof from a second-floor bedroom, fire Chief Owen McAfee said.
The two re-entered the building through their neighbor's bedroom window and left the apartment by the front door.
